Favorite Charities

When you buy my books, a portion of the money goes to these highly recommended nonprofit organizations. We encourage everyone to find at least one responsible organization doing something that touches your heart and GIVE.

  • MAP International — MAP stands for Medical Assistance Program. Its mission is to donate critically needed pharmaceuticals to the world's poorest people. Steve Stirling, the CEO, was adopted into the family of a close friend in Alaska. His inspiring life story is recounted in the book Crutch for Success. MAP International has been in operation since 1954 and been recognized for responsible stewardship of funds.
  • Lantaw-Ugma Outreach (LUO) — Serves impoverished children in the Philippines with food, academic tutoring, Bible teaching and more. Our Alaskan friend Gina Brown was born in the Philippines. She and her husband Alan never intended to be missionaries, but when children followed them around during a business trip in 2012, they saw a need and filled it, later retiring to move to the Philippines permanently.
  • Sandra Lee Centre — Sharing Christ's love with international college students from around the world.
  • Center for Integrity in Forensic Sciences (CIFS) — Working toward reform in forensic sciences, crime laboratories and the courtroom.
  • The Great Commission Hub — This new ministry provides an online platform for matching individuals and churches with organizations around the world in order to engage everyone inthe great Commission in making disciples of all nations, whether they be down the street or around the world. The founders are friends who recently moved out of Alaska.
