Poetry from the Heart

Eliciting great poetry from students is easy when you use outstanding children's poems to start the flow of ideas. This resource book contains an anthology of prize-winning poems written by students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades, along with a standard lesson plan, guidelines for what to encourage in student poetry, and teaching suggestions for each topic. Also included are helpful hints for classroom management and ideas for publication and display.
