Ladder Canyon Hike

The 2005 rains also prevented us from exploring Box Canyon, Painted Canyon and Ladder Canyon. Floods had closed the roads. Plowtrucks were plowing sand instead of snow to clear the highway.

In 2006, Sherrie was delighted to lead us on a hike up Ladder Canyon and down Painted Canyon, now one of our favorite hikes. When we don't have time for the whole circle, we take friends on the short hike up Ladder Canyon and back down. I could only imagine the water that must have poured through this canyon during the previous year's flood!
